 Michiko Tsukimura (Japanese drum player)

Her simple but dynamic and powerful drum performance is a pillar of "DAKADAKA" music. Her Okedo-daiko play is excellent. Born and grow up in Chiba, she got a chance to play Japanese drum at local festivals at the age of nine and Japanese drum captivated her mind. Michiko belonged to "Kogumi (鼓組)", a Japanese drum playing group, at Yachiyo high school in Chiba. After graduation, she joined "Dondokosho (どんどこしょ)", a local Japanese drum group, and performs at various events and concerts including Narita drum festival. She now plays at DAKADAKA, devoting herself to drum practice.
